If you're customer of EcoFriendly Foods, or a fan of ours, or you buy your meat from one of the many other small farms across the country that practice the same humane, sustainable, and environmentally-sound, "clean food" practices that we do -- CONGRATULATIONS and thank you for being part of the solution and not part of the problem. Even considering antibiotic use alone in factory farming, we all know what the long term effects of that $1.69/pound pork chop at the supermarket are.
Here's the challenge we'd like to pose to our friends, fans, supporters, and customers: Read this article just out today from the Associated Press. Then share it with someone you know who isn't aware, or just doesn't care about the issue.
And if you really want to go the extra mile, drop a note to your Representative and Senators in Congress sharing not only your thoughts on the issue, but also asking them to find ways to help "even the playing field," so those who can only afford to buy those $1.69/pound pork chops can have an alternative. After all, if Congressman Jerry Moran of Kansas (quoted in the article) claims "chaos will ensue" if we create policy that allows more and more people to opt-out of an industrial food movement that is so strongly supported by the "big meat" and "big pharmaceutical" interests, perhaps we should put his knowledge to the test.
This is a pretty easy and worthwhile item to add to your resolutions for 2010, yes? What do you think?

I love this post about article. I am going to pass it on to all my friends and I cant wait to start buying your meat products!
