Lots of great fresh meats for you this weekend at the Arlington and Dupont Circle farmers markets.
Look for beef rack and sirloins. As for pork, you’ll want to check out our Rocka-baw (Duroc Ossabaw cross), with rib chops, blade steaks, boston butts (shoulder roasts), ham roasts, and whole cross cuts. We also have the same cuts from our popular Farmers Cross.
If you haven’t tried our lamb recently, now would be a good (and tasty!) time. We have two khatadin lambs fresh this week. All cuts, chops, deboned legs, roasts and shanks.
And more fresh EcoFriendly veal – half carcass, rib and loin chops, scallopini, osso bucco, shoulder chops, stew meat and sirloin steaks.
Out of the freezers, you’ll be pleased to know we found a lot more whole & half chickens, whole legs, split breasts, boneless skinless breasts, wings, a few backs, and lots of feet, necks and livers. So we’ll still be going strong for a couple more weeks with the frozen birds, including poussin. The season for fresh chickens will hopefully start up again in late April.
What else from the freezers? Ground beef, pork, lamb and goat and plenty of sausage. Our popular breakfast links, hot Italian links & bulk mild Italian sausage, grandpa’s sausage in bulk, as well as our chorizo. Many of you took advantage of our buy one get one free sale on the chorizo and we’ll be doing it again this weekend.
Look for pork spare ribs, beef marrow bones, and beef, pork and lamb livers, too. See you this weekend! And don’t forget to bring your own bags. This weekend, we begin charging ten cents for our shopping bags.
